In my experience, there are generally two types of donut shops: inexpensive classic donuts in a no-frills atmosphere or more expensive elaborate donuts in a coffee-shop like atmosphere. This place is somewhere in between. They have many elaborate, creative creations, from Sesame Street inspired donuts to an entire cart of Valentine’s day donuts. The prices are mid-range (my berry custard croissant donut cost $4.50). The atmosphere, however, more closely fits a no-frills shop. The store has some basic melamine tables in a small, undecorated dining area, and they sell lottery tickets. The customer ahead of me in line said that this place used to just sell more basic donuts, so my guess is they’ve branched out in the last few years. They seem to specialize in croissant donuts, and the one I got was delicious! The glaze was sweet, the outside was crunchy, and the inside was soft and flaky. The donut was sturdy enough to hold the custard inside and the donut was so thick I could just barely get my mouth around it. I’d come here again to try out more of their flavors and creations!

These would be the best donuts I've had in the LA area. The quality of the ingredients is at a different level. Think Voodoo Donut for comparison. They have regular donuts and special ones that cost more. I had a blueberry lover's, which had fresh perfect blueberries on it. The service was great too. I asked if they had custard filled and they filled one for me on the spot. The place is busy and I can see why!

Seriously. Some of the best donuts I've ever had. I'm so use to the grocery store generic donuts. I never thought that a donut could taste so special. This is now one of my top places to visit when in Eagle Rock. A must try for sure!!
